CBA launches a new photo gallery

Your CBA board of directors is pleased to announce the release of a long-awaited project: the CBA Photo Website. Just in time for lots of in-home viewing! You can visit the site here: photos.californiabluegrass.net This is an ongoing project. It currently features photos from every 2019 and 2020 CBA event to date and includes a bunch from recent Southern California bluegrass events. More archival photos will be added, but for now you will be able to check out a ton of photos. Many thanks to the CBA photographer staff – Alan Bond, Robin Frenette, and Patrick Campbell – for pulling this project together. Please note that the photos are organized into two sections: The CBA Spotlight Collection (which features the top photos of each event) and the Events by Year (which is a deep compilation of event photos). You can click on any photo to enlarge it – note that these are full resolution photos. There is a Search box in the upper right side of the Home page – type in a name, hit Return, and photos of folks with that name should appear (please note that not every photo is currently keyworded – we are working on it). That is just a start, so feel free to poke around on it, re-live some great moments, and look forward to when we can all come back together and celebrate!! Enjoy the photos and stay safe.

Status of CBA events

The CBA Spring Campout is cancelled. The Board of Directors met on March 15 with the Campout Coordinator and the Music Camp Directors concerning Spring Campout, Music Camp, and Father’s Day Festival in light of the Coronavirus. We discussed options concerning the Music Camp and the Father’s Day Festival in June, but decided to hold off on making decisions until we have better information about the Virus and its possible impact on our events. We will closely monitor this crisis and meet again on April 5. We will post the latest updates in the Bluegrass Breakdown, the CBA web page (https://www. cbaweb.org), the Father’s Day Festival web page (https://www.fathersdayfestival.com), the Music Camp web page (https://cbamusiccamp. com), and CBA Facebook feeds. We will also send updates by email to CBA members and festival participants. During these difficult times, many of the musicians and instructors in our community are taking a big hit.
